Added more images and about five animations to my art site.

Go to John Pirillo's Golden Realms of Art to take a look at what's new.

Sigh! Getting smarter, or just one more step down to dumb!

My art site is up and running

Okay. Enough already. I will never finish the site I'm now posting, so I thought I should post it so you can watch it as it grows. I am quite prolific as an artist, as well as a writer and I thought it would be fun to put this out now, rather than wait for it to be perfect.

I realized it can't be, because I am always adding more and changing things.

So enjoy and visit my new art site by clicking on the link below.

The Case of the Vanishing Website has been solved!

Original illustration by Sydney Paget for the Sherlock Holmes series by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
"It would seem Sherlock that we  have finally caught the culprit who was sabotaging Mister Pirillo's author site."

"I heartily agree, dear Watson. A most scandroulus situation has been nipped in the bud."

"What do you suggest we do about it? Doctor Watson asked.

"Why not give them the link so they can see all the dastardly things that Mr. Pirillo has been doing in his spare time."

Doctor Watson chuckles. "What spare time?"

"Why, his play time, his sleeping time and his lunch time, of course.

"But how could you possibly know that, Sherlock?" Doctor Watson gasped in surprise.

"Elementary, really. Were he an ordinary human being he would be sleeping a full eight to ten hours every night. He would be stuffing his face with scones...."

"Wait!" Watson interrupted. "That's what I do!"

"Quite right, dear fellow, and you would do well to stop that, or you'll get fat!"

"Uh, huh, I see." Doctor Watson said in a grumbly voice. "So what else clued you in to this man's tireless behavior?"

"The fact that he has been up for several hours already typing this little story before he even thinks of going downstairs to make his morning meal."

Sherlock turned around and looked up at Watson, then took a quick puff on his pipe. "I suggest we get properly dressed, because he's about to put us through some horrible conditions in our next story, " The Case of the Vanishing Hero."

"What manner of clothing?" Watson insisted on knowing.

Sherlock rose from his comfortable position and stretched. "That, my dear Watson, is for the author to tell. Now let us prepare!"

"Very well." Watson replied, grabbing a scone from the plate Mrs. Hudson had left for him, and hoping Sherlock hadn't seen him pocket several more. "I will post the link here right away!"

"Great, Watson. Now let us hurry: 'The Game's Afoot.'"

Journey to the Center of the Earth trailer with original artwork from the manuscript by Jules Verne

Original artwork for Center of the Earth and other juicy things.

all images on this post are courtesy of: wikipedia

Above image is the 1878 edition cover of Jules Verne's classic.

Below is an Amazing Stories cover for it.

Below is the actual mountain that Jules Verne used as the place of descent into the center of the earth in his classic.

Journey to the Center of the Earth novel is finished!

Over the weekend I was one busy little beaver.

I finished the final edit of my Journey to the Center of the Earth novel. I will post the cover in the next day or so.

I hope to publish that to a tradebook version as well. I'll keep you posted as to the progress of that as I am able.

Meanwhile, the first novel is a greatly expanded version of the first eight stories I told about the Journey and more connected. I had a lot of fun expanding the characters and giving them more cool things to do as they go deeper beneath our planet.

Hopefully, their journey will ask questions in your mind about many things that we take for granted, but perhaps won't afterwards.

I had a lot of fun expanding and joining everything and I think it's a great read at over three hundred and fifty pages!

Above is an image of what international satellites spied floating just above the moon's surface before the first Hollow Earth Special Forces team descended into the depths.

Below is an image of what some scientists believe to be the shape of our inner earth.

And below this line is a fantasy perception of what the center of the earth looks like.

The above illustration was taken from one of the original publications of Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Captain Nemo's Nautilus artwork posted

I have just finished the cover to my new novel about Moriarity and hope to have the final editing done before the end of the week. I should have the digital version published on Amazon and Smashwords by Friday.

I'll post the new cover when I get time.

Meanwhile, above is an illustration I made of Captain Nemo's Nautilus, which is used in my Moriarity novel. I think it's really sleek looking and fits the style of the alternate world of Moriarity.

Reverting my pro site back to Weebly's free site until pro site fixed

Hey Everyone.

Still having trouble getting Yahoo and Weebly to agree with each other on what's wrong with my johnpirillo.com site so I've reverted the site back to Weebly's free site, which is more limited, but still allows me to post and for you to see it.

Until I can get the problems worked out with Weebly and Yahoo I have reverted my pro site back to the following: Golden Realm Stories

Sorry for the delays!

The Scorpion King

For all you folks who enjoy Mister Johnson, here's another photo.

Well, he looked pretty good and offered a new hero to the masses in the Scorpion King. Little did they know their villain would turn out to become a good guy later on. Dwayne Johnson rules in the muscleman roles these days.

Looking forward to his next G.I. Joe movie.

Silly Disney Hercules

More Hercules for all of you who like looking at muscle men and men of legend!

Kevin Sorbo...nice TV version of Hercules

The original Hercules Steve Reeves, who starred in Hercules and Hercules Unchained and a bunch of other sword and sandal movies there were hot for their time and fun to watch.

The newest Hercules and best so far.

Where would we be without marvel to take it to the next level! Hercules comic book!

Hercules! Yay!

Saw the Dwayne Johnson version of Hercules tonight and loved it. It's got a lot of heart! If you haven't seen it, give it a shot.

Mr. Johnson is getting better and better as an actor.

Some frustration with my author site still going on

"What do you mean my author site isn't working?"

I scream at the top of my lungs to the universe while micowaving a chocolate doughnut that melts into a puddle of cocoa and sugar!

More of Baker Street Snippet posted and some cool images added

Hey everyone!

Added some more to my Baker Street Snippet. Just click HERE to go there to read the story and see some cool images.

I'm now working on a new Sherlock Holmes story which I think will be very interesting to those who love all the mythologies about him. Takes place in the alternate England I created prior to this and involves Stoenhenge in a very sneaky way.

Meanwhile, until that's done, here's some more Sherlock stuff.

New article in The Pen's Delight with illustrations

Hey!

I'm still trying to get my main site up and running. I spent hours on the phone with a young woman from India and was told it would work now and still it doesn't.

So frustrating. I'd much rather spend the time relaxing or writing, but....

Anyway, posted a rather long article on state of the world conditions now and compared it to historical events and science fiction ones.

You can read it by clicking HERE.

Best to all.

New theme for my blog.

Hope you like my new theme for my blog.

Best.

John

Next piece of Baker Street Snippets: The Death of Conan is posted tonight!

Just published on Amazon and Smashwords for 99cents the beginning of the next novel of the Journey to the Center of the Earth epic series: The New Team!

The story is available right now on Smashwords and will be sometime tomorrow on Amazon. When it is I'll post a link.

Don't forget and if you don't know, on Smashwords you can read the first twenty percent of all my stories for free.

I'm excited about it because I get to go deeper into the characters as people and into the earth at the same time, pardon the puns here. I've shown more of the destruction that occured during the Big One so that the impact of what happened to our world and what could happen to our world would help us understand the characters better, as well as their personal drives to success.

I've got an honest to God  hippy in the new adventure, as well as a kind of cowgirl and of course the heroes of the last expedition, still struggling to find their way..on many more levels than they realize.

I've got more monsters and more puzzles, but more than anything else I think I've got a new rip roaring adventure to excite you!

Best to all.

John

Journey to the Center of the Earth continues

I'm inspired by rumors of an entrance to an  underground city beneath Mount Shasta which has been spoken of for decades now.

Since the second team to attempt to reach the center of the earth needed a new theme and background, I decided to take them a different route than Tibet and India. Hence....Mount Shasta.

Look for some very different story angles this time around as I further explore the ramifications of trying to force out way of life on the entire planet, irregardless of the consequences to all life, whether walking, swimming, or flying above, below or within its body.

Here's some Wikipedia images of Mount Shasta.

The above photo is very mysterious, isn't it? Could it be that some kind of energy or light is leaking through the ancient volcano to the outside world?

Could it be some kind of warning from those who dwell below the surface of the Earth?

And if it is a warning, is it friendly or....?

Fun detective

And of course the great Mouse Detective...a reincarnated Sherlock Holmes? Or Goofy in disguise? Your call!

RocketMan is now available on Amazon too!

RocketMan is now officially available on both Amazon and Smashwords for 99cents.

Hours and hours of reading pleasure.

If you've ever seen the old time Republic Serials that ran in the movie houses and television during the forties, fifties and sixties, you're in for a huge treat.

If you just love action-packed thrillers with real heroes and villains you'll love to hiss and boo at, then you've found the right story.

Hitler is set on taking over the world. He is close to achieving it with a cache of secret super weapons that the world is unaware of.

Only one man can stop the Dictator's mad quest for world domination and annihilation of all those who oppose him....ROCKETMAN!

Rocketman Story Promo is posted tonight!

My new adventure series takes place during World War Two and goes back and forth between what our world is like now and what might have happened had the Nazis won the war. It's a fun filled adventure with heart and soul and lots of action.

I'll post when it's finally published on this blog and my personal site as well. I'm still fine tuning it. It's about the length of a novellete for the first story.

Have a great day tomorrow.

John
